About Kelly
Kelly Fanning is a seasoned healthcare administrator with more than 20 years of experience spanning both the insurance and clinical side of the industry. Kelly has a reputation for partnering with leadership and working with teams to advance strategies and/or solve problems that aim to optimize the delivery of healthcare for patients, staff, and clinicians
As a Partner at Saltwater Consulting Group, Kelly works with academic medical centers, health systems, community hospitals, and other key stakeholders to design strategy, advance operations, and recruit and build teams. This work includes health system integration, case and utilization management, executive recruitment, ambulatory template optimization, clinic workflow, and eMRs.
Before consulting, Kelly served as Vice President of Ambulatory Operations at Brigham & Women’s Hospital (BWH) and within the Mass General Brigham (MGB) system. Within this role, Kelly built teams and operations focused on partnering with clinicians to optimize scheduling and clinic workflow, driving provider satisfaction while enhancing patient access and experience. Prior to her most recent role, Kelly worked in Population Health Management at BWH and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA), where she delivered on critical organizational goals by bridging diverse perspectives among key internal and external stakeholders.
Kelly is a proud alum of Colby College and Simmons School of Management. Kelly is an active member of her community, serving as a youth soccer coach, community advocate, and regular volunteer at the Beech Street Senior Center. Kelly lives in Belmont, Massachusetts with her husband and two strong and kind daughters.
